Details & Elaborations
Overtime Rules
- Killing for Suspicion
- You may kill for suspicion in overtime if you have valid suspicion to back it up (See Suspicion Above).
- If you cannot back up your suspicions in a report, you will be slain.
- Overtime Rules
- AFK's may be killed during overtime.
What is RDM?
- RDM and Attempted RDM
- RDM is killing someone without valid proof (explained above).
- Attempted RDM is defined as any amount of damage to another player and is slayable for 10 damage or above.
- Self-Defense and Unintentional Crossfire
- Also refer to self-defense.
- If a kill is deemed by staff to be unintentional crossfire, it is not RDM.
Ghosting
- Ghosting
- Ghosting is generally defined as telling a living player information about the game while you are dead.
- Examples include sharing game information in Discord, Skype, Teamspeak, or Steam DM's.
- Ghosting is against the rules and will result in a ban.
- Telling staff that the last traitor is AFK is not considered ghosting.
- Ban lengths can be determined by the staff member and are based on how impactful your actions were.
Teaming
- Teaming
- Teaming is very similar to ghosting, but does not require an outside program. Teaming is generally when 2 friends team up regardless of role, but it can also just be any 2 players.
- Examples
- Traitors giving you a T-weapon and you not killing them.
- Letting a traitor plant an RSB on you.
- Assisting a traitor as an innocent/detective.
Self-Defense
- Self-Defense and KOS
- If you get shot or damaged, shoot back and/or call a KOS.
- Understand that if no one witnesses the initial attack, and just sees you kill an innocent, you can be killed for it.
- In that situation, just report the person who attempted to RDM you.
- Chain RDM
- If the attacker starts a chain of RDM, they will be held accountable for each RDM caused in the chain.
False Reports
- Reporting and RDM
- Don't be afraid to report someone if you TRULY think it was RDM.
- However, every report that is filed makes a nice, loud noise, and the staff still have to deal with it.
- If a report turns out to not be RDM, then that's fine. No slays no foul.
- Joke Reports
- The occasional joke report is fine, but reporting someone every round, or lying to try to get someone slain, is not allowed.
- If you continue to make joke reports and it becomes a problem, you will take slays for false reports.
- Our report system is there to help you. DO NOT ABUSE IT! (please).
Staff Abuse
- Staff Abuse and Reporting
- Abuse of powers will lead to punishment.
- If you see a staff member abusing, follow these steps:
- Do not post false staff reports, as they will result in adverse actions towards you.
- Take a screenshot/record evidence. (Do NOT complain about the abuse on the server. This will most likely not work in your favor.)
- Report the abuse on our discord (you can type !discord to join), post your report in the player reports channel and be sure to follow the guidelines.
- Include your side of events and what was happening in as much detail as you can.
- The staff will discuss the alleged abuse publicly on that thread.
- The Managers have FINAL say.
Hacking/Exploiting/Macros
- Unfair Advantages and Exploiting
- Do not use anything that would give you an unfair advantage over others.
- Any form of hacking is a permanent ban.
- Exploiting any bugs with a map or addon is punishable. Examples:
- Going outside of the map.
- Any bugs with addons like pointshop, loadouts, etc.
- If you find a bug, report it, don't exploit it.
- Any macros, such as a bhop bind, are considered a bad macro and are not allowed.
Toxic Gameplay
- Player Behavior Rules
- Excessively targeting players with RDM, false KOSs, and false accusations.
- Attempting to loophole reports, or perform actions to loophole reports.
- Killing people within the rights of the rules, but using it in a way to create problems, toxicity, loopholes or karma loss/slays.
- Killing a proven inno w/ a T weapon to take it.
- Planting UNID’d bodies near players or AFKs to kill them.
- Killing an inno who killed a T and ID’d the body.
- Killing an inno whom you witnessed get attacked by a T, kill the T, then you killing the inno.
- Jumping into crossfire and reporting one of the players for killing you.
- Running at people with a grenade out/magneto stick or anything that makes it seem you have a knife to bait a kill and report them.
